As the Assembly Elections in Maharashtra approach, scheduled for November, political parties are ramping up their campaigns. In a significant development, senior actor Sayaji Shinde has officially joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Ajit Pawar. This announcement was made during a recent party event in Mumbai. Ajit Pawar has stated that Shinde will serve as one of the star campaigners for the party in the upcoming elections and hinted at more prominent personalities joining the NCP soon. Shinde, a well-known figure in Marathi cinema and recognized for his roles in various languages including Hindi and Telugu, expressed that his experiences portraying politicians in films inspired him to enter real-life politics. He praised Ajit Pawar’s governance style and emphasized the need for active political involvement to effect change. Recently, Shinde also met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to discuss handing over plan seeds as prasad at temples across the state. On the film front, he was last seen in Maa Nanna Superhero, featuring Sudheer Babu.
